What do you do when you�re a Roman Emperor and you find an ancient Egyptian obelisk down in Egypt you like? You move it to your Hippodrome in Constantinople (the Roman name for Istanbul). They had to build a special ship to carry it. On the bottom of the obelisk is a marble base showing the emperor watching the games and rooting for his favorite team.
