Day 1: Almost Photoless Madrid

If you know me, you know I hate not being able to take pictures. Today we visited the Prado Museum, truly one of the best painting museums of the world. No pictures allowed.

We also visited the El Escorial, a 16th century palace, mausoleum of royals, amazing church, and more. Pictures only on the outside. So, I don’t have much to share. So, just a few assorted pics.

Today was the tenth anniversary of an Islamic militant train bombing in Madrid (just a short walk from my hotel). There were some official remembrances and an increased police presence.
