First we ascended to the towering Mount Tabor. It is a transnational spot for the Transfiguration of Jesus, but that is only a guess. Still the view is amazing of many Biblical sites and the top has two historic churches.
Next, we visited Nazareth herself. The Greek Orthodox have built a church over the spring that the women of Nazareth would have drawn all their water from.

Next we stopped at the massive Church of the Annunciation, a traditional spot for Mary's home. We walked there through the Nazareth souk - the traditional and ancient marketplace.
We has a 1st century lunch at Nazareth Village, a place the tried to recreate what a small first centuty Jewish village would have looked like, followed by a visit to their "village."
Finally, we visited the town of Sepphoris, a large town three miles from Nazareth that was almost certainly the place where Josephus, Jesus, and his brothers would have worked.
It was a great day, but hard on the feet. Off to bed. Thanks for looking!
